IM.P.A.C.T's Teen Substance Abuse Awareness Through Art Contest

Attention Oak Park and River Forest students currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade (public or private):  IM.P.A.C.T has rolled out a spectacular art contest, providing middle schoolers a creative opportunity to express their views about the dangers of substance use and addiction by designing original artwork. Contestants can enter individually or as teams of up to three students. 

Pick Your Favorite Medium: Whether it’s 3-D mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, video, audio/music, poster - participants are encouraged to use their creativity in “celebrating healthy choices and substance-free living or depicting the risks and/or dangers of smoking, drug use and/or alcohol use.” 


Best of Show: $350 Apple Gift Card (one winner only)
1st Place: $250 Apple  Gift Card (two winners - one from OP and one from RF)
2nd Place: $150 Apple Gift Card (two winners - one from OP and one from RF)
3rd Place: $100 Apple Gift Card (two winners - one from OP and one from RF)

Public Showing: Come view our young artists’ creations on November 1, 2011 with a reception honoring the winners.  

Contest Deadlines: Entries must be submitted at drop off centers by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Winners will be notified on October 28, 2011.
