West Suburban Medical Center welcomes new sub-acute rehabilitation medical center director

West Suburban Medical Center recently announced it has partnered with Associated Physicians of Rehabilitation to oversee West Suburban's Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Center. Rahul Sharma, M.D., Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation has been named to the position of Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Center at West Suburban Medical Center.

"I'm happy to welcome Dr. Sharma to West Suburban Medical Center," says Jack Cleary, Chief Executive Officer, West Suburban Medical Center. "He will bring the leadership needed to the entire sub-acute rehab team to help patients return to their home setting to live as safely and independently as possible."
Dr. Sharma received his medical degree from the University of Bombay's MGM Medical College and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Sharma is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and the American Medical Association.

At the Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Center a multi-disciplinary staff works to ensure that patients who have suffered functional loss due to a disabling illness or injury can benefit from a comprehensive integrated sub-acute rehabilitation program.
