Artists and craftsartists from far and near will fill Scoville Park, 800 W Lake St, Oak Park with work they themselves created during the 40th Annual Oak Park Ave-Lake Arts & Crafts Show presented by American Society of Artists, a national membership organization. Saturday August 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You and your family will enjoy exploring the many talents and treasures of the American Society of Artists with an enticing variety of work on display by those who created. Exhibits will range from sculpture, paintings, photography, artwear, glassworks and wood arts to soap making, pastel paintings and hand woven textiles, garden crafts, jewelry and much more. Art In Action is included in the show with some working/demonstrating at their booths at various times during the show. All the many exhibitors will be happy to discuss their work with you.
Area artists will include Daniele Smith, Oak Park exhibiting her eye catching jewelry, Mary Ann Smith, Elmwood Park, exhibiting custom designed jewelry and Scott Kiefer, Berwyn, his unique printmaking. Christine Esposito who lives in Chicago just over the border form Oak Pak will exhibit wire crocheted jewelry.
