Are you ready for some of the best homemade pie in town?

The Oak Park Farmers Market is gearing up for its annual Pie Bake-Off contest on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Pilgrim Church parking lot, 460 Lake St., according to farmer's market manager Colleen McNichols.

Thirteen bakers will bring their best pie to the table, and following the judging, which begins at 10 a.m., everyone can have a taste until all the pie is gone.

This year's judges are:

  • Molly Svec, co-owner of Split Milk
  • Alexandra Rey-Talley, last year's winner
  • Michelle Mascaro, Happy Apple Pie Co. owner
  • Victor Lencioni, junior judge
