Hemingway scholars and enthusiasts from across the globe will descend on Oak Park later this month for the Hemingway Society’s 17th Annual Biennial International Conference.

From July 17-23, the society will hold a series of panel discussions here and local Oak Park institutions will be very much in the mix. The Oak Park Public Library hosts research appointments for conference attendees seeking to explore the library’s Hemingway archive, as well as an after-hours fundraiser for the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park.

The library also will present student work from Oak Park Elementary School District 97 at the conference.

The Oak Park Art League is hosting a series of events during the conference including exhibits from Hemingway-related work, paintings by Hemingway’s mother, Grace Hall Hemingway, and a book discussion with library executive director David Seleb.
