Co-authors, Don MacMannis, Ph.D., and Debra Manchester MacMannis, M.S.W., will be doing a presentation and book signing for How’s Your Family Really Doing? 10 Keys to a Happy Loving Family, on August 4th at 7 p.m. at The Magic Tree Bookstore. Their new book synthesizes contributions from family studies, psychological and brain research, systems theory and spirituality, highlighting the 10 essential keys that define successful families.

Parenting self-help books about specific problems are often inadequate because they fail to include what else may be going on in the family. In contrast, How’s Your Family Really Doing? provides a checklist of the most important, underlying “family factors” that help families in their quest to be happy and healthy.

With decades of experience as family experts, the authors will share an overview of common challenges facing families today, a brief description of the 10 Keys they’ve uncovered, as well as offer time-proven parenting tips and tools. There will be ample time for questions and answers!

As a special bonus for parents, the authors will provide a free 50-question Family Assessment form with scoring guidelines.

Call Magic Tree Bookstore at 708. 848.0770 to reserve your place and/or book.
