Vigil for OPRF student planned

A vigil is planned for Andrew Johnson-Cheeks, the Oak Park and River Forest High School student who died on July 22 from an asthma attack, according to reports. 

Johnson-Cheeks' family, friends and OPRF community will celebrate his life on Friday, July 27, 6 p.m., at Scoville Park, 800 Lake St. in Oak Park.

Andrew was the true mayor of Oak Park. Whether you knew him or not, please come, He was such a special kid. He was a light and the embodiment of joy.
