Love locked in under the overpass

Love is in the air — at any rate in the underpass (or is it overpass?) beneath the Oak Park Avenue CTA Green Line stop. The "love lockdown" can be found on the chain-link fence along the walls of the pass-through.
Lovers in Oak Park can now take part in the traditional French ritual of hanging "love locks" without taking the pricey (though romantic) trip to the Ponts de Arts in Paris.
The "love locks" project is a part of the Ernest Hemingway Foundation's celebration of the author's 115th birthday on July 21.
Couples wishing to document their love on the 7-foot-tall, 87-foot-wide fence may purchase a lock from the Hemingway Foundation — 250 locks were donated to the group by Master Lock. Or you can bring your own.
The public arts project will be on display until Sept. 21.
