The Third Wheel You May Spot with Local Seniors this Summer
New Bike Offers Mobility to Oak Parkers
It's hard to dispute that cycling in Oak Park has gained popularity. However, certain groups are missing out on this healthy, eco-friendly, exciting trend as a result of issues with balance and stability. For seniors, cycling is often seen as a beloved pastime, not as a means of independence, mobility and exercise.
Now that mentality can change with the new adult tricycle available to local seniors, an option that eliminates fears regarding stability and balance. The bike is available for rent at Greenline Wheels and is FREE for seniors for up to two hours per day. The lightweight cruiser style bike boasts a large cargo basket,
hand brakes, and mag wheels. The low central bar on the tricycle makes getting on and off easy.
Seniors aren't the only folks attracted to the comfortable posture and large carrying capacity! Within an hour of arriving at Greenline Wheels an eager young tourist from Texas rented the trike.
For those under 65 years old, rental costs just $8 an hour or $30 for a full day (same as all other adult bikes). As always, bike rental includes a helmet and a lock. Reservations are not required but are highly recommended given the popularity of the bike. Please reserve the bicycle online at www.GreenlineWheels.comor by phone, 708-725-7170.
