On March 23, 2010 the Affordable Care Act, often called “Obamacare” was signed into law. To celebrate this historic achievement in expanding healthcare coverage to over 30 million Americans, 22 local chapters of Organizing for America (OFA) across Illinois are holding events in concert with over 1000 OFA events across the country.
OFA – Oak Park will celebrate the third anniversary of passing the ACA by distributing flyers informing citizens in Oak Park and the surrounding communities of the major benefits of this historic program and fact sheets regarding Illinois Health Insurance Exchanges (now referred to as insurance marketplaces) which is essential to the success of ACA in Illinois.
Please join us at 9 a.m. on March 23rd at the DPOP headquarters at 1243 Woodbine. We will provide you with the flyers, fact sheets and assignments for disseminating at local hospitals, businesses and other locations in Oak Park and surrounding communities.
