Rough Edges

The 16th annual Great Backyard Bird Count starts up a week from tomorrow. on February 15-18, 2013. It's a lot of fun, and anyone with internet access can participate. As their website states, "The GBBC is open to anyone of any skill level and welcomes bird observations from any location, including backyards, national parks, gardens, wetlands, and urban landscapes. The four-day count typically receives sightings from tens of thousands of people reporting more than 600 bird species in the United States and Canada alone." Here is the tally from Oak Park in 2012.

Hope to see you out there.....happy birding!
