Downtown Oak Park is getting a new restaurant this summer at 1044 Lake St. with the opening of Red Mango.

The shop will offer smoothies, yogurt and parfaits and will be one of the of the national chain's more than 200 locations to include a new café menu of salads, wraps, sandwiches, protein bars and juices, according to a news release.

The franchise is owned by Oak Park residents Jim and Anneke Taglia and leased by Anthony M. Gamez of David King & Associates.
