Meet Super Hero Dr. Cyndie!

Dr. Cyndie owns The Hearing Place in Oak Park which employs 5 people.

What does your business do?

Our company specializes in hearing evaluations and hearing aid fittings for individuals who experience difficulty hearing. We also provide consulting services for industrial clientele.

What is "super" about your business?  Why is it special?

My employees are truly the people who make this business amazing. Our team works together in concert to ensure each client is satisfied with the services and treatment they receive. We have the unique opportunity to help individuals prevent hearing loss in addition to treating individuals who experience difficulty hearing. We love helping others hear and communicate with the world around them.

Tell us a bit about yourself…

I love trying new things. I enjoy being outdoors whether it is kayaking or hiking. I also like to challenge myself by learning new songs on my harp. Lately, I've been getting into cooking elaborate meals with some interesting's all fun though and I enjoy switching things up from time to time!

If you could pick a superpower, what would it be?

To Teleport, it would make it so much easier to see my friends and family in addition to traveling!

Why did you choose to invest in our community?

This area is a great community to live and grow a business in.

What local organizations have you been able to support in the past?

Special Olympics

What's the weirdest thing you sell or offer? Or have there been any odd customer requests?

I removed a tooth from an ear canal once, that's about as odd as it gets in this area of practice.
