Shriners Hospital hosted a Special Movie Day for Special Kids at the Lake Theater on Valentine’s Day. We invited families of children with special needs, along with other families from nearby communities to come to a special 10 a.m. screening of the Sponge Bob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Moviegoers got to meet Sponge Bob and our hospital mascot bear Fezzy, and everybody left with a beach ball in honor of our beach-themed movie! Despite the freezing temps we had about 100 people attend the show. Instead of typical previews they saw short videos about the kids at our hospital and the care we provide.
