Informed vote '13 - Candidate forum nights at Buzz Cafe, 905 Lombard Ave., Oak Park.
When: Thursday evenings 7-9 p.m.
Come and see candidates for:
River Forest Village Board: Feb. 28th
OPRF High School Board, District 200: March 7th
River Forest School Board, District 90: March 21st
Candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, give a brief presentation of their ideas and they YOU have the opportunity to question the candidates.

The format used by the League of Women Voters/River Forest Service Club last week worked well. Candidates had time limits for introductions and answers. The audience was able to ask questions, but they had to write them down --- which prevented grandstanding, and kept things focused on the candidates.

Might we add time limits to questions - (one at a time) and answers. Otherwise, just a good old talk fest.

I saw this last election. Nice to have, but it was not well run. Too much time given for introductions and canidates blubs. People are their to ask qustions. If no one has any, then you cna go to canned questions or introductions.
