The expansive bar and restaurant is located in a landmark building at 6801 Cermak Road. Thomas was among a group of investors who bought the building and an adjacent parcel over three years ago. The group teamed up with Berwyn's Buona Companies to help re-concept the space and develop the menu.

"I love Chicago sports and admire every athlete at any level who gives it their all," says Frank Thomas, Owner and Brand Ambassador for the Chicago White Sox. "35 is a place where my fellow fans can gather to eat, drink and share in the thrill of competition and the pursuit of glory."

35 Sports Bar & Grill celebrates Frank's legendary performances as number 35. The venue features 35 beers on tap, including a variety of local craft selections, and 35 state-of-the-art TVs with zoned sound broadcasting sporting events from every corner of Chicago and around the world. Frank is actively involved in the restaurant, having been instrumental in the restaurant's design and menu creation. Diners will see Frank in and around the restaurant with friends and family as the venue is both his refuge for sports-watching and a place for community outreach in his capacity as an official White Sox brand ambassador.

35 Sports Bar & Grill hosts a comfortably modern space while maintaining the historic exterior of the building. The menu features elevated bar food made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Some of Frank's favorites include The BIG HURT Burger (Bacon, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, fried egg and pickle with loaded pub fries); Jumbo Wings & Beer Battered Tenders (served with your choice of sauce); and Donut Ice Cream Sandwiches (five sandwiches made with homemade donuts, vanilla bean ice cream, topped with hot fudge or caramel). Total seating capacity is 126, with the bar accommodating 18 guests, and private event space for 16 to 30 people.

Frank Thomas is clueless at managing a bar and restaurant, this place closed less than 2 months after it opened.
