Huskie Booster Club gives back at 50

District 200 officials announced last week that the Huskie Booster Club, the volunteer parent group at Oak Park and River Forest High School, plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary by paying for the installation of a new Tradition of Excellence wall and a video wall that will go in the redesigned Welcome Center.
The total cost of both walls is approximately $40,000, high school officials said. The donations come as OPRF undergoes the most extensive campus renovation in 50 years.
Fionna Bezaire, the Booster Club's president, said that Tradition of Excellence plaques, which celebrate notable alumni, are currently "scattered throughout the school and are not uniform." With the new wall, those photos will be in one area, "in a consistent design with room to grow."
The video wall let students and guests view events and reminders as they enter the building, officials said.
