Karl Rove's Got Nothing On Me

By John Hubbuch

1. The Republicans just can't seem to figure out how  a Muslim Socialist who was born in Africa was re-elected President of the United States.

2. In this regard the GOP seriously under-estimated Obama's support from Muslims and socialists. I'm sure exit polls will confirm this.

3. Never under-estimate the power of fear in an election. Republican efforts to use election fraud as tool to diminish the black vote backfired. Not only did the strategy fail to reduce black voters, but it enflamed the voters to turn out in even greater numbers. Similiarly Hispanic voters fearing deportation from a Romney administration turned out in huge numbers for the President.

4. Donald Trump is so over the top that he must have some hidden agenda, perhaps a new show 'America's Craziest Billionaire."

5. the pundits miss an important point: many voters prefer person to politics. Obama got a lot of votes because  people like him and his life's narrative. He's a young guy with kids who follows sports and plays basketball. By contrast Romney came across as a rich country club tool  . See Judge Smails in Caddy Shack.  Or Ted Baxter.

6. Romney's best speech was his last one.

7. The Republican post-election whine reminds me of the losing team in youth sports: the refs cheated, the field was bumpy, the other team had illegal players, my shoes were slippery, it was windy, etc., ad naseum. No. You just got beat.

8. I am so glad this election is over. Praise be to Allah!

People First, I'm not a parrot for Fox news. The "jab" about the socialist was a joke. I just think that honors like Nobel Peace Prizes should go to more deserving people. Economy on the mend? Sorry, but I don't agree with you there PF. When is everyone going to stop blaming Bush for everything? Why didn't you comment on the 5 points we agree on? At the end of the day, Obama is NOT a leader. He is in way over his head. He should be more like Clinton, compromise to get things done.

@ Drew The hypocrisy of your argument is evident if you think back to the hissy-fit your side threw when GWB fired 4 US Attorneys (Who serve at the pleasure of the President) No one died, no one lied, and outrage was everywhere. No one sent the UN ambassador forth to deliver false information and then lie to cover the reason.

@ Drew - so what do we do about Benghazi? What do we tell the families? Do we shrug our shoulders and say"Oh well thats life"? What do we tell that poor schlub in California who sits in jail? Perhaps we should take the Obama approach and just lie through our teeth and claim it never happened? Oh midwestern sage - impart your wisdom on we unwashed poor souls who cannot see the truth or appreciate a liar when we see one.

And I am sure all you felt exactly the same way about the "uranium from Africa" and the "aluminum tubes." Bengazi was a tragedy but you guys are bordering on paranoid. If you know anything about statecraft you would know that working is a bunker helps no one. Attack is a risk of the job--happened constantly during the last admin in PAK. And yes, the article is stupid, probably intended to get a rise out of you guys and get hits.

@ Drew There is a piece in the National enquirer that reports Hillary's catastrophic brain problem. Do I believe it - probably not. Buried in the article is a gem we should have seen coming. They report insiders claim she is experiencing black outs, headaches and are you ready - memory loss. Wasn't that her approach to the White Water mess? I hope she can retire to private life for the rest of her life and cook and clean for Bubba. Who knows there should be grandbabies in the future.

DrewM- Maybe you should be offended by Hubbuch's very last sentence. Was that an attempt at sick humor & overlooked? Praise to a monotheistic doctrine that demands the shooting or beheading of little girls who go to school, kill the teachers who teach those little girls or killed because they said Happy New Year, not to mention their intent to destroy the US & Israel. Of course a liberal would consider conservative free speech so much more destructive & offensive. You people need serious help.

@Drew The whole situation started with a lie. There have been lies built upon lies at every turn in the road. Why would you believe that there is suddenly a ray of truth showing through this sordid mess. First those of us who asked the questions were accused of insensitivity toward the families of the murdered diplomats. Then we were told that there was some dumb video then it was the investigation then we heard from a whole bunch of witnesses who were not there. Now, you ask us to be considerate of the one person who knows what happened, who by the way has used every dodge she knows to avoid testifying under oath. Just to damn convenient.

No, it was the whole thing--the Obama comment was merely highly offensive. The woman is in the frickin' hospital with a blood clot in her brain. She is lucky to be alive. It is the height of absurdity and paranoia to accuse her of trying to avoid testimony--platelet trutherism I suppose.

The Obama comment was out of line and I apologize. Hillary needs to testify - remember the four dead Americans. If there were not major political problems Hillary would have testified and this whole mess would have been cleared up months ago. The White House is in way over their heads on this issue and it is showing. If the WH withheld military assistance and let those four guys die - don't we deserve to know why? If reinforcements had been sent to help and failed, that is one thing. Not to even lift a finger is just not the way our government has worked in the past. There are only a couple of people who have the authority to command "stand down" during an attack on a US Embassy, and they are a whole lot higher up than mid-level State Department schleps. The silence is deafening!

RS, if that comment is not a lame attempt at humor--which regrettably I suspect it's not--it's plainly on the top 5 most silly and ignorant things said in 2012 by oakpark.com Keyboard Kommandos. Nice work.

@ PF - I will take Murdoch and Ailes to George Sorros any day. Fox gets it right more than any other news outlet and they do give both sides of the story. FOX was right on Benghazi and now Hillary is claiming blood clots to avoid testifying under oath. She remembers how much trouble her hubby got into by putting his hand on a bible and lying through his teeth. Obama would rather see her dead, just to be safe.

PF - Wake up - the only cabal at work here is the O administration, peddling misinformation, fear & hate for the truly low information voter like yourself who never learned to connect the dots.

A Fox News patriot? So your loyalty is to Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes and the rest of their cabal who peddle fear, misinformation and hate to lonely, frightened and ignorant folks like yourself, rj? Nice.

PF keeps misspelling Patriot.

Edwin, you sound like a Fox News Parrot with the silly jabs about President Obama being a socialist and his use of a teleprompter. Check the record before claiming he has "no results". Our troops are coming home, the economy is on the mend and millions more Americans will have access to health care. Are you ready to admit that he inherited a mess here at home and abroad from the Bush adminstration and that right wing media bias and personal racial prejudices may be influencing your thoughts?

Keeping this short with only 500 characters. 1.Nice to see the left finally admit Obama is a socialist. 2. Laughable 3.Voter turnout was lower in 2012 than 2008&2004. Also, Hispanics who fear deportation aren't citizens so they can't vote. 4.Agreed. Isn't his 15 minutes up yet? 5.Still not sure why people like him. He continues to get accolades with no results. 6.Obama's best speeches are the ones he reads from teleprompters. 7.Agreed 8.Just wrong. I will pray for you Sunday at Ascension.
