Some may know him as Lt. Jim Dangle on Reno 911. Now Oak Park native, OPRF grad and comedian Thomas Lennon has a new role as Max, owner of an online retail company with a serious power complex and the boss of Sean Hayes on the new sitcom Sean Saves the World.

In an interview with Sun-Times reporter Bill Zwecker, Lennon said he got the inspiration for the character from Richard III.

"Think about it. It gives me that clipped way of delivering lines that I think makes Max even funnier," said Lennon in the interview. "I just say Max's lines as If I'm playing Richard III at Stratford — just without his hunchback."

Sean Saves the World airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
