OPRF High School senior Foster Bayles was selected to the U.S. Rowing Scholastic Honor Roll. Foster is one of only 55 Scholastic Honor Award winners in the nation based on their grade-point average, test scores, and having competed successfully at the regional level.

On Oct. 14, at the 2.7-mile Head of the Rock Regatta, Bayles helped his team, the LPJ-Chicago Rowing Foundation, capture first place in the Men's Junior 8-plus with a time of 16:26.359. The team competed against 21 other boats from around the Midwest, including New Trier, St. Ignatius, and Loyola.

The Head of the Rock Regatta is one of the Midwest's premier rowing events and is sanctioned by the U.S. Rowing Association.
