West Suburban PADS has a volunteer opportunity that is fun, and will help the agency’s very important mission – to end homelessness in Cook County’s 20 near-west suburban communities. The annual Have-a-Heart Gala is coming up on February 12 from 6:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at the River Forest Country Club.  Volunteers are needed on the day of the Gala to help set up decorations and the silent auction, help with check-in and with silent auction check out.  PADS also needs volunteers prior to event day – put your creative skills to work to help with decoration planning and bundling silent auction donations. Volunteers are also needed to collect and sort auction donations (for those of you, like myself, that are not creatively inclined!)

It’s cold out, the holidays are over, and we are all back to work, school and daily activities.  Liven up your January and keep the holiday spirit alive by volunteering for this worthwhile event. To volunteer, contact Meghan Strubel, Development Associate, West Suburban PADS, (708)338-1724×231, or at mstrubel@westsuburbanpads.org. Meghan can find a volunteer spot to meet your schedule and interests.
