River Forest, IL (January 22, 2015) Trinity High School students will be celebrating Peace and Justice week throughout the week of Jan. 26-30, 2015. Each day of the week the students will be putting on events and living out the week’s theme, “To Bless the Earth.” 

The schedule of events will be as follows:

On Monday Jan., 26,   the week’s theme ‘To Bless the Earth’ will be celebrated at an all- school Liturgy, along with the Sinsinawa Dominican community’s dedication to the caring for the earth.

On Tuesday Jan. 27, Trinity will be hosting Mrs. Rochelle Brophy from St. John Berchman’s Catholic grade school in the library during period three to discuss common sense ways to save the earth.  On Tuesday after school there will be a showing of “An Inconvenient Truth” in the library. 

On Wednesday January 28th, the Environmental club will be hosting a Kahoot, quiz contest, for prizes. This will take place in the library, freshmen and sophomores will compete during 3A and Juniors and Seniors will compete during 3B. 

In addition, every day there will be different quotes posted in the classrooms, which can be tweeted or posted on Social media, concerning the environment. Students will also be saying a different prayer every morning concerning the earth. Members of the environmental club will be giving students useful facts about the environment during the announcements every day that week as well.
