Monday, January 17, 2011, marks the 25th anniversary of Martin Luther King Day.  This federal holiday is not just a day to honor the memory of a great man, but to take action to make our own difference in our world.  In 1994, Martin Luther King Day was designation as a National Day of Service - a "day on", not a day off.

All week, I will be profiling volunteer opportunities in our community. If you have a volunteer opportunity you'd like to see profiled, let me know! Want to check out ways to make a difference in your community? Check out the blog postings this week for just a sampling of what you can do to make our community a better place.
