A recent article in Wednesday Journal focused on two churches for sale in Oak Park. Assuming these churches are empty, could they be repurposed as temporary overnight shelters for migrants? These people, who have walked hundreds of miles to get here, are still sleeping on the floors of police stations. We are a generous and wealthy community. Can’t we do more to help them?
