How about requiring all bikes to have a bell when they register with the village. I would greatly appreciate a couple of “Ring, Ring” warnings that a bike is approaching from behind. Obviously, bikers ride on the sidewalks in spite of the signs prohibiting it. Hopefully, bells on bikes would make walking safer. As a pedestrian I’ve had too many close calls.
