The upgrading of the physical education facilities, and especially the swimming pools, OPRF High School should have been accomplished years ago when it would have cost much less than the now estimated amount. The school and the neighborhood cannot afford to wait another year for a referendum, more expense and higher costs.
Physical education affects all students, from the star athlete to those with disabilities, and is a life-long tool for healthier living. Swimming is a life-saving skill and the sooner learned the better.
My family represents three generations who have attended and graduated from OPRF High School. And we are appreciative taxpayers of the educational excellence the high school provides.
Please don’t delay this project any longer.
