The Oak Park and River Forest High School boys swimming and diving team won the Mustang Invitational at Downers Grove South on Dec. 17 with 478 points.

The Huskies had two individual event champions, including Lars Rauch the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.56 seconds and Emmett Harmon in the 100 backstroke (55.05), with teammate Pablo Pareja finishing second just 0.18 seconds behind.

OPRF swept all three relays. The 200 medley relay of Pareja, Adam Pedraza, Harmon and Carlos Reyes won in a time of 1:40.97. The 200 freestyle relay of Pedraza, Will Keyes, Reyes and Rauch had a winning time of 1:30.81. And Harmon, Keyes, Pareja and Rauch took the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 3:19.26.

Rauch also finished second in the 200 freestyle (1:48.50); Pedraza took second in both the 200 individual medley (2:03.29) and the 100 breaststroke (1:02.44); Keyes was fourth in the 50 freestyle (22.82) and second in the 100 freestyle (49.88); and Harmon got third (54.90) and Pareja sixth (55.59) in the 100 butterfly.

Other Huskies highlights included Charlie Ryan (5:18.95) and Brad Huseby (5:19.86) finishing seventh and eighth respectively in the 500 freestyle, Huseby placing eighth (1:58.05) in the 200 freestyle, Evan Hauptmann taking sixth (2:12.03) in the 200 IM and Ian Glossa finishing seventh (59.05) and Bryce Wilson taking fifth (1:06.16) in the 100 breaststroke.
