Don’t let the excitement of this month’s municipal election overshadow April’s status as National Recycling Month, as proclaimed by President George H. W. Bush in 1989. Represent Oak Park has made it easy to take part in this sustainability effort after taking part in the election process.
In collaboration with Greenway Recycling Services, Represent Oak Park is providing a roll-off recycling bin to deposit yard signs at 917 Chicago Avenue in Oak Park. The service is free of charge and will be available beginning April 7 at 8 a.m. through April 14 at 7 p.m. This information is also available on Facebook under the event titled “Political Yard Sign Recycling Drop-off.”
To keep the Earth clean and green, Represent Oak Park asks that people spread news of the recycling opportunity to ensure that as many signs as possible are deposited. The political coalition welcomes any and all campaigns to join in. The recycling drop-off is open to yard signs supporting every candidate and referendum.
