Thanks to you column [Democracy stages a comeback, Ken Trainor, Viewpoints, Nov. 11], I understand that my feelings Tuesday night through Saturday morning, post-election, were shared by so many others. I didn’t realize I was swimming in a collective consciousness. Then right after I heard the news, there was drumming and shouts from Scoville Park, then car horns honking. It was joyful and expansive. Now my waking thought each morning is, “Joe Biden is president-elect.” What a relief. Our country will be whole again.
