On Nov. 14, FitzGeralds, 6615 Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, suspended on-premises operations indefinitely due to rising COVID-19 cases in Chicagoland.

Saying via Facebook:

“While we believe that our outdoor masked-up patio shows are a very safe environment, encouraging y’all to leave your homes while the authorities say the opposite just doesn’t feel right.”

Plans for reopening FitzGeralds are not clear at this time, but club owner, Will Duncan, promises to share some evolving plans for their future in the coming days.

FitzGeralds’ announcement came on the heels of Robert Lovero, Berwyn’s mayor, making the  controversial decision not enforce Gov. J.B.  Pritzker’s indoor dining ban.
