Oak Park resident Sheila Nix was named in Politico’s Illinois Playbook newsletter as a likely candidate for a spot in Joe Biden’s presidential administration, should he be elected.
Nix “could have her pick of jobs,” according to the newsletter sent Oct. 27. Currently serving as senior advisor to Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris, Nix served as deputy assistant to President Barack Obama, as well as campaign chief of staff for Biden during the 2012 campaign to reelect Obama and Biden. During their second term in the White House, Nix was chief of staff to Dr. Jill Biden.
