I was so pleased to see the village helping restaurants by giving them increased outdoor space. Now to hear that they are going to begin construction on a block of Lake Street earlier than previously announced and are limiting the time for outdoor dining all over is very disappointing. If it will be too cold to do construction later, put it off until next year. If the costs are a bit higher, think about the lost tax revenue when businesses close for good.
New sidewalks are not a crisis; the virus is.
