The village of Oak Park announced April 12 eight more residents have tested positive for COVID-19. The newest cases range in age from their 40s to 90s. On April 11, the village announced three residents tested positive, bringing the weekend total to 10.

The running total of positive COVID-19 cases is now 102, according to data from the state of Illinois per the village’s announcement. That number could potentially change as local public health officials verify the residency of the individuals.

Due to privacy laws, the village has released no further information regarding the individuals who have received positive diagnoses for the virus. As of April 9, the village has two fatalities likely caused by COVID-19.
