Nora C. Meewes (nee Duffy), 96, of Oak Park, died on Feb. 18, 2020. She was born on June 18, 1923.
Nora was the beloved wife of the late Dellwyn Meewes; the mother of Donald, Eileen (Sergio) Diaz, Maureen (Fred) Hewitt and Robert (Jacqueline) Meewes; the grandmother of Jennifer Wells, Brian (Lauren), Christopher (Stephanie) and Eric Meewes, Stephanie (Tony) Luleung and Emily Ruiz, and Ariana and Andrea Meewes; the great-grandmother of 12; the sister of the late William (the late Mary Frances) and Thomas (the late Rene) Duffy and Mary McDonnell, Margaret Dillon and Rose Cassidy; and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 21 at Ascension Church in Oak Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. Donations to the school fund at Ascension Parish are appreciated.
