It is long overdue for those with religious convictions to speak out against the administration and this president in particular. Oak Park has over 50 worshipping congregations which could join the courageous voice of Christianity Today. Speaking truth to power takes a deep breath on the stage of history proclaiming, “Enough! This immoral madness must cease!”

Oak Park has been a leader in fair housing, diversity issues and, now, education and community-wide equity. We should hold a fist in the air, take a knee or join the throng who would defy and resist.

Voter Registration and casting a ballot in November 2020 remain our strongest options. Happy New Year to all!
