Oak Park board trustees Dan Moroney and Susan Buchanan appear to have mended things. After a tumultuous few weeks that started with Buchanan losing her temper and led Moroney to make multiple media appearances, the two have pledged unity and vowed to move on with a joint statement sent to the Wednesday Journal:

“To the Residents of Oak Park,

“We would like to take this opportunity to respond to calls for unity and want to say that as trustees of this great Village, we are committed to moving forward on behalf of the people of Oak Park. We agree that unity is a priority, and we look forward to continuing our work to make Oak Park the best it can be.

“Susan Buchanan and Dan Moroney”

And both appear to have taken this sentiment to heart, as Buchanan and Moroney sat next to each other at an Oct. 29 finance committee meeting.
