The Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce’s Spotlight Award Event Committee has announced the nominations  for the 4th annual Business Spotlight Awards. Awards are dispersed in six categories: Community Character, Customer Experience, Excellent Eats, Local Legend, New & Notable and Small Business Superhero.

Obviously those named in the Excellent Eats category are of particular interest to our Oak Park Eats community. Congratulations to Autre Monde, Barclay’s American Grille, Courageous Bakery, Lavergne’s Tavern, Olive and Well, One Lake Brewing, PTCi Cafe, Small Batch Barbecue, Sugar Fixe and Wild Onion Tied House.

In addition, several other local restaurants and eateries found their way to a nomination in other categories. The Happy Apple Pie Shop, Oak Park Brewing and Opportunity Knocks (home of Knockout Catering) were nominated in the Community Character category. Pete’s Fresh Market and Oak Park Brewing were recognized in the Customer Experience category, while Hole in the Wall, Brown Cow Ice Cream and Starship Restaurant were named in the Local Legends Category. Poke Burrito and One Lake Brewing also earned a nomination in the New & Notable category.

Chamber and community members will attend the 4th Annual Business Spotlight Awards Ceremony Tuesday, October 15th at The Nineteenth Century Club, where award winners will be announced. 

Tickets include appetizers and drinks. Tickets are FREE for Chamber members, finalists and their guests. Non-members pay $25. Register for the event HERE.
