I agree with all of these gun safety policy recommendations [Who is responsible? Ken Trainor, Viewpoints, Aug. 7]. The situation is beyond urgent. It’s past dire. It’s just too easy for raging, crazed individuals (who all seem to be men) to get their hands on these weapons legally. Unless we get controls in place, every single one of us will eventually witness directly, know a victim from, or even be shot ourselves in, one of these outrageous outbursts of gun violence.
It’s feeding on itself, as well as on Trump’s rhetoric.
