May del Sol has been a Latin-fusion mainstay in Oak Park for more than a decade, but some folks may still be surprised to learn Maya serves up a noteworthy cheeseburger. And this week the restaurant is challenging you to give it a try on Tuesday February 5th or Wednesday February 6th.
The burger is featured on the menu as a welcoming and familiar option for restaurant guests, but that doesn’t mean the Maya burger lacks complexity. Served alongside hand-cut fries the patty, made from high-end wagyu beef, is served on a brioche bun and topped with sharp cheddar, chipotle mayonnaise, tomato, red onion, and arugula. If you are feeling especially indulgent you can add bacon to this bad-boy burger, too!
“You would be hard pressed to find someone that doesn’t love it,” say Maya General Manager, Chris Ramirez, “and we thought we’d have a little fun introducing more people to it.”
