Snag a table for the whole family at Trattoria 225 (225 Harrison Street, Oak Park) on Sunday, October 28th for some Halloween fun!
Sculptor Eric Jorgenson will carve a giant pumpkin in the restaurant’s front window; kids and and adults alike will enjoy watching Jorgenson work his magic on the approximately 100 pound pumpkin! The finished product will be raffled off at 7pm and one lucky local family will get to take the giant pumpkin home in time for Halloween!
“This is the 7th year Eric Jorgenson will carve a giant pumpkin for us and it will take him about three hours to finish it, says Trattoria 225 owner, Bill Quick, “and kids are always running between their table and the window to check on his progress.”
In addition to the pumpkin carving entertainment Trattoria 225 will also have free pumpkins available for kids to decorate with stickers (no knives or markers to worry about) during dinner on Sunday. Forget about the forks! Quick suggests Trattoria 225’s assorted wood-fired pizzas would make for a perfect pairing during their annual pumpkin extravaganza.
“Our pizzas really fit the relaxed feeling of the evening;” says Quick, “they are easy to consume and fun to share.”
What a delicious way to support local artists and local restaurants in the Harrison Street Arts District. All the folks at Trattoria 225 hope to see you (and your little goblins) on Sunday evening!
