Howard Wax, a 53-year-old River Forest resident reported missing on May 12 has been found dead in Chicago, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office have reported.
According to River Forest Police Chief James O’Shea, his officers have been working with the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago Police Marine Unit, conducting searches in the vicinity of where Wax’s vehicle had been found on the Chicago Skyway Bridge.
During an “exhaustive search” on May 24, detectives found Mr. Wax’s remains, which were examined by the medical examiner. O’Shea said there were no signs of foul play.
“The village of River Forest extends their condolences to Mr. Wax’s family and loved ones,” O’Shea said in a press release.
