It’s been a few months since the Village of Oak Park directed the dog-loving watering hole, Beer Shop, 1026 North Blvd., to temporarily end its practice of allowing its four-legged friends into the establishment.

A resident complaint in January about mutts in the bar — a village ordinance prohibits the practice — triggered a review by the Oak Park Board of Health.

Beer Shop and its patrons will get their day in court on Tuesday, April 24, at 7 p.m. at Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St.

The meeting had not taken place as of press time, but we’ll keep you posted on the puppy scandal.
