The impressive estate at the corner of Oak Park and Chicago avenues, known as Hales Mansion, is on the market for $2.15 million.
Wednesday Journal reported in 2016 that the building, designed by architect Henry G. Fiddelke, was completed in 1905 for Oak Park grain magnate Burton F. Hales and his wife.
Architecture aficionados who don’t have two million bucks to spare can get a peek at the Tudor Revival-style home at the Wright Plus Housewalk on May 19. More information about the walk is available at www.flwright.org/wrightplus.
