More than 200 Dominican University students and staff watched as 15 brave souls got their heads shaved at the school’s annual “DU Goes Bald” fundraiser. on March 15, which raised $3,000 for the nonprofit St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which conducts research and raises toward childhood cancer. 

During the three years the event has been held, Dominican has raised more than $10,000 for cancer research, she said. 

“The event itself is very moving, because everyone comes together for something that is much larger than any of us,” said Moira Kennedy, a senior at Dominican who helped organize the event. “We all want to see change, and that is why we do it.”
