In Monday night’s Wednesday Journal Conversation (second installment), NPR radio host Peter Sagal was alternately funny and serious, fielding questions from moderator Charlie Meyerson and the audience about his show, “Wait Wait, Don’t Tell Me,” living in Oak Park, and the country’s political future. He admitted hating the name of the show (too many “Wait, wait, do tell” jokes) and loving the Constitution (when you don’t like the results of an election, your recourse, he said, is the next election). Articulate, intelligent and sometimes irreverent, he kept the audience of 500-plus chuckling and applauding for over an hour. A podcast of the evening is in the works, to be posted to Meyerson’s email and website.
