A man was carjacked at gunpoint in the 900 block of South Lyman Avenue just before noon on Feb. 22, according to the Oak Park Police Department.

According to police, the victim was sitting in the passenger seat of his silver 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, which was parked on the street, when a thin black man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-7 and wearing a black beanie hat, a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants exited the passenger seat of a dark-colored Nissan and approached the victim’s car.

The offender reportedly revealed a black semi-automatic handgun and said, “Give me what you got.”

The victim turned over his car keys, a white iPhone and a black Calvin Klein wallet. The offender then ordered the man out of the car and got in and drove away westbound on Flournoy Street.

The Nissan also left in the same direction, driven by an unknown subject. The loss was an estimated $13,120.
