This weekend, new filmmaking workshops for kids will be taught by professional animators and artists. A few spots are still available. Animation for grades 3 to 8 goes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. Vincent Ferrer Gymnasium, 1515 Lathrop in River Forest. Live action filmmaking for grades 3 to 5 will be from noon to 2:30 p.m.Sundays, Dec. 4 and 11, at the Depot, 401 Thatcher Ave., in River Forest. Live action filmmaking for grades 6 to 8 will go from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sundays, Dec. 4 and 11, also at the Depot.
