The Oak Park Area Arts Council (OPAAC) is pleased to present the artwork of Jim Krysan in the OPAAC gallery at the Oak Park Township Senior Services Dining Room. The show is titled “Skies from the West Window.”

Jim had the following to say about his artwork. “The photographs in this show were selected from an extensive series, all taken from a west facing third floor window at 221 North Kenilworth Avenue, Oak Park. The photos in this show were taken between October 5, 2009 and June 18, 2016.”

For Jim, photography began in the 1940’s as a teenage hobby. His first job was in a darkroom. At the suggestion of his supervisor, he completed the New York Institute of Photography correspondence course. After 5 years he left that job for college, graduate school, and a career in entomology. Photography again became his hobby. He is a founding member of the Oak Park Photography Club. This is his 10th one person show.

The exhibit will be on display until Oct. 31st in the Senior Services Dining Room, 130 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park, IL. Business Hours: M-Fri. 8:00-2:00 p.m. Closed Saturdays and Sundays. For more information about the artist’s work email him at
