Aggravated DUI arrest

Juan M. Delgado, 20, of the 1700 block of North Mayfield Avenue in Chicago, was arrested on May 17 at 2:01 a.m. in the 200 block of Chicago Avenue and charged with two counts of driving under the influence, no valid driver’s license, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, no motor vehicle insurance and improper use of a cell phone while driving. He also was issued a local ordinance for damage to village property, according to police.

Robert Watson, 41, of the 400 block of Marengo in Forest Park, was involved in a single-vehicle accident in the 600 block of Madison, at 8:20 p.m. on May 18. Watson was found to be driving under the influence and arrested for aggravated DUI, DUI-drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

 Residential burglary

A burglar forced open the back door of an apartment in the 300 block of South Austin Boulevard on May 16, sometime between 7 a.m. and 5:09 p.m. The offender then stole $638 from inside the apartment.

A residence was burglarized in the 400 block of South Humphrey Avenue sometime between 5 p.m. on May 17 and 7 a.m. on May 18. The offender forced in a piece of plywood, entered the residence and stole seven tubes of fire caulk, eight tubes of painter’s caulk, two black sheet metal roof jacks, a plastic trash can and angle hangers. The total loss was an estimated $192.

A burglary occurred in the 400 block of North Austin Boulevard sometime between 5 p.m. on May 17 and 1:20 a.m. on May 18. The offender broke the glass to the back rear door to gain entry and stole a silver MacBook Pro Air laptop, a white and silver HP laptop, a black HP laptop and blank business checks. The total loss was an estimated $2,800.

 Burglary to motor vehicle

A red Nissan Sentra was the target of an attempted burglary sometime between 9 p.m. on May 17 and 7 a.m. the next day in the 300 block of Wisconsin. The offender used a pry tool and shattered the rear passenger window to gain entry to the vehicle. The estimated loss due to damage was $200.
