Come see “Live a Little Longer,” an original play written and directed by Ryan Borgdorff.

When aspiring businessman Jim Scott is assaulted, a particularly unlikely savior by the name Lucy Faust saves him, proffering a deal Jim can’t refuse.  In the ensuing months, Jim’s life and the lives of those around him are continuously twisted for the worse under the influence of Jim’s mysterious savior.  A tale of wit, will, woeful manipulation, and hope, it examines the limits of the Faustian tale and one’s influence over one’s own life.

About Ryan Borgdorff:

Ryan Borgdorff grew up playing football and wrestling until a bad accidental concussion as a sophomore that led to a recommendation from his doctor that he leave contact sports. So he changed his after school activities to theater, politics, and leadership.

As a senior, he is an editor of the school paper, Model UN president, and active in the student leadership program at school. He has acted in a few OPRF productions and played the lead role in “Belleville” earlier this month. “Live a Little Longer” is the first script that he wrote. Academically, he is an Illinois State Scholar and a National Merit Scholarship winner.

In the fall, Ryan will attend Northwestern University with a double major in Theater and Physics.
